     I am a long-time, fully-registered member of the Canadian Association of Home and Property Inspectors (CAHPI).  In 2008, I became recognized as a National Certificate Holder and I am licensed by the Provincial Government.  I am registered with Brookfield, the Federal Governments' Integrated Relocation Program (IRP) for both residential and commercial inspections, and… I am one of the few regionally recognized "site and property inspectors" for the Public Guardians and Trustees of British Columbia.
     As an independent, 100% Canadian inspector, I examine hundreds of interior valley properties every year.  This includes single family residences, strata properties, mobiles and modular homes, log buildings, restaurants and workshops.  My coverage area ranges from Revelstoke and Salmon Arm, to Grand Forks, Osoyoos, Merritt and Princeton.

     Residential reports can be presented immediately after the inspection in an easy-to-read "checkmark" format.  Added narratives explain concerns and suggest possible solutions and maintenance guidelines.
     My reports are prepared according to guidelines set forth by CAHPI.  Besides the mandatory "standards of practice" for all CAHPI members, each inspector has his or her own unique way to convey inspected information.  One must exhibit both thoroughness and tactfulness when discussing concerns about the property.

PERSONAL STUFF   I was born in Yorkshire, England, schooled and raised in Calgary for 20 years, worked for Alberta Provincial Parks in Edmonton for 20 years, and have been self-employed for 25 years.  As a Certified Engineering Technician (CET), I designed and built various facilities such as staff residences, workshops, pump houses, piers and water systems.  I love my family, traveling, web page design, computers, home inspecting, hi-tech gizmos … even learned country dancing with Susan as my teacher.  Never want to slow down!!  Never want to get old!!
